Hi there, welcome to the Tree Trimming Ceremony for Challenge #27 - Penguin Parade!

You guys really amazed with fabulous cards, heaps of enthusiasm and multiple entries - thank you, thank you, thank you!

This was always going to be a tricky one to 'judge' so thank goodness I had the wonderful Gail as elf for this challenge! Thanks hun, you're a star.

After much head scratching these are our Top Picks, but honestly you all did so brilliantly that this list could go on forever!

Top Picks are as follows:

Adorable in every way, and look at the mountain in the background.

A beautifully made card with the sweetest LOTV penguin.

Look at all that beautifully water-coloured fluffiness.

Who knew penguins were so talented!

Our Winner and Star on the Tree for this challenge is:

Both Gail and I fell head over heels for Cornelia's
beautifully coloured, but rather grumpy, penguin.

Congrats to you all, please grab your blog badges and wear them with pride!

Finally, here's Rudolph with his Random Raffle Winner:
Chris D, it's you! What a good day for Chris as she's a Top Pick AND our Random Raffle winner. Please could you contact me, Chris, so I can get these little guys penguin-shuffling across to you as soon as possible!

Thanks again to Gail for elfing with her usual panashe and to everyone who played along in our first challenge of 2020. If you want to play along in the February Challenge please head here and come join the fun!

It's Mid-Month Reminder Time for Challenge #27!

Hi there, card friends, I'm just dropping by with another card for the current challenge: Penguin Parade. Now that the Christmas Kickstart has (temporarily) gone monthly, I thought it would be helpful to jog everyone's memories that this had happened and also remind you that you can enter up to three different cards per challenge!

Before we get started, can we please send healing thoughts towards the lovely Gail in Norway. She's been a poorly elf, but is hopefully on the mend now.

Here's a fun image from Mama Elephant (Cool Penguins) that I received as a Christmas gift from my parents - they know me sooooooooo well! The patterned layer is a beautiful background stamp from Simon Says Stamp called Kaleidoscope Leaves Background.

If you want to find the original post for this challenge you can click here or you can link your card below.

This challenge is open until Monday 3rd February.

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #27 - Penguin Parade

Hi there card friends, did you all have a good Christmas? Things were fairly quiet chez moi, but still very pleasant AND there were a few crafty goodies from Santa which I am sooooooo excited to play with.

Before we get to the challenge, I need to let you know I'm making a few temporary changes here at Christmas Kickstart. Until July the challenges will be going monthly, launching on the first Tuesday of each month. I know this possibly reduces the potential number of cards (don't forget you can enter three per challenge), but I need a little time to concentrate on other areas of my life. I know you guys will all understand this, and I hope you'll continue to play as it's your participation that keeps the fun rolling along. I'll be cranking things up again come July when we'll be back to fortnightly challenges again!

So, it's time to begin making our Christmas cards for 2020! I'm delighted to be joined once again by the lovely Gail from Crafty Nomad. As you can see, Gail, just loves to wear her elf hat!

Our theme for this challenge is:
Challenge #27 - Penguin Parade

Here's what Gail created for this theme! I wish I had eyelashes like that penguin. You can find all the details of Gail's make by visiting her blog here.

Here's my little slice of penguin fun!

You can find the details on my blog here.

Rudolph's back after a busy time guiding Santa's sleigh and he's offering a gorgeous (and very appropriate) prize for this his Random Raffle draw:

So as santa heads off for a well earned rest, Gail and I very much hope you'll come and join us for the first pre-Christmas 2020 Challenge.
