Christmas Kickstart Challenge #72 - Wrapped up for Christmas

Hi folks, we've marched into March and here in the UK Spring is well and truly in the air.

I'm delighted to welcome the very lovely Monika from Tinker Cards as our elf for this month.

"Hi, I'm Monika. Cardmaking has been a passion of mine for some years now. It started off with an idea of making my own Christmas cards. Since then I have made many cards, small canvases and journaling books using my treasured stamps and dies. I like sharing my projects online on my blog and in various crafting groups on Facebook."

It's great to have you here, Monika, and once I'd discovered you possess superb knitting skills in addition to your cardmaking skills, it only seemed appropriate to pick the following as the theme for our month together...

Challenge #72 - Wrapped up for Christmas

We'd love to see a scarf or scarves on your cards, please.

Just look at Monika's adorable card - she's picked the cutest images and positioned them perfectly on that pretty masked background. You can find all the details of how Monika made her card by visiting her blog

I broke out a sweet little MFT set for my card. I do miss seeing new Birdie Brown images, so decided to collect as many of Yoshi's older images as I can.

Rudolph is here as usual with a prize for his Random Raffle.

Nice work, Rudolph - a perfect prize for our fun theme!

So, please join Monika and me for our fun challenge... and don't forget we want to see a scarf or scarves on your Christmas Cards!

Challenge #71 - Reminder Post

Hi Kickstarters, I'm back today with a little reminder about our current challenge here at Christmas Kickstart! We have the lovely and very talented Bridget with us this month as our elfin muse.

Here's a reminder of Bridget's gorgeous inspiration card.

I like everything about Bridget's creation, but am especially drawn to the retro-look baubles and her colour palette oh, yes, and the positioning of her sentiment with the red background. So here's what I made...

The card was supposed to have a pale green background too, but I'd stuck down the first bauble before I realised!

Rudolph has a sweet little penguin prize on offer this month, so please come and join the fun and play along!

Blogger doesn't seem to want to let me copy the link to the challenge gallery,

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #71 - Baubles!

Good morning and happy February to you all. A big thank you to everyone who played along in the January challenge - it was great to see so many of you in the gallery.

I'm delighted to welcome Bridget from Curlybearcrafts as our elf this month. I'm a HUGE fan of Bridget's amazing colouring and cardmaking talents, and have followed her blog for a long time. We recently reconnected, having lost touch a little, and I was thrilled when she agreed to don the elf hat and create some fabulous inspiration for February

"Hi, I'm Bridget. I started card making back in 2004 as a hobby, and soon got completely hooked on it, and started to enter challenges for fun. So 19 years and going strong, along with picking up other hobbies along the way, such as Crochet, and then sewing, I now own 4 sewing machines and enjoy making various things from bags to pillows, but currently am back into my card making full time, and still enjoying it as much as ever."

We're playing
Baubles for Challenge #71

Here's what Bridget has created to inspire us all...

Isn't her card fab? I love all the sparkle. You can find out all the details about Bridget's lovely card by visiting her blog.
