The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #20 - It's a Gift!

We're another week closer to Christmas, but you guys don't care - you've got a fabulous stock of cards because you've been playing at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge! Yeh? Yeh!

It's new challenge time and let's welcome our elf for this fortnight - it's the lovely Sherri T from Sherri's Flip-Floppin' Blog!

"I am Sherri Thacker and I live in North Carolina with my husband of 28 years. I have been stamping almost 20 years and I love entering card challenges. I also love to read, sew, and paint rocks in my spare time. I recently started sending cards through the Chemoangels.com website and I'm a card angel to someone who is battling cancer. It has been very rewarding to me."

Our theme for this challenge is the very thing that raises Santa's blood pressure each year, yes it's all about presents and packages!

Challenge #20 - It's a Gift!

Just look what Sherri made!

Here's my make for this challenge (tricky as heck to photograph):

Rudolph is here with another Random Raffle and he's picked a delightful little gift of a prize!

One randomly drawn lucky winner will receive this gorgeous little W Plus 9 set!

Sherri and I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge, so please come and play along because Christmas really is coming!

Let's Trim the Tree for Challenge #18

It's Tree Trimming time again, but before we rip open the boxes of baubles and get tangled in tinsel, I'd like to say a very big thank you to my elf for Challenge #18, Joanne from Ambrosia and Iron. It was great fun partnering with you on this one.

We had a fabulous number of entries for this challenge (thank you!) and both Joanne and I really enjoyed visiting your blogs and feeling inspired in return by what you'd created. Here's another look at the banner which inspired you all so much.

Our Top Picks are as follows:

We both love the jazz-hands placement of the cute mittens.

The bear, the scarf and that amazing background 'wowed' us both!

Such a beautiful hand-drawn snowie.

Fabulous baubles inspired by the background.

Our Winner for this challenge and Star on the Tree is:

A beautiful card with a sweet image, stunning colouring and fabulous masking.

Congratulations, hope you all enjoy your shiny blog badges.

Rudolph is here with his TWO Random Raffles.

Firstly, let's see where the Clearly Besotted bears are moving to:

Turns out this sweet little trio are emigrating to Canada to live with Donna from Keep Calm and Snark On. I guess they'll need those hats, scarves and sweaters! Congratulations, Donna, please get in touch via the sidebar box with your address so I can connect you with your prize.

Rudolph's second Random Raffle is for the position of Elf for Challenge #2 and it's Christmas Kickstart Challenge frequent-flyer Sherri from Sherri's Flip Floppin' BlogCongratulations, Sherri, and I'd be grateful if you could also contact me via the sidebar comments form so we can get you measured for your hat!

Once again, a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who played along with this challenge, it was such fun to see how the blog header inspired you all to create your cards. Challenge #19 is now underway and myself and Elf Michele are enjoying a Scandinavian Holiday, so why not come and join us?

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #19 - Scandinavian Holiday

Welcome to Challenge #19 - we really are speeding through the year!

Thanks to everyone who played along in the previous challenge; it was great to see so many of you inspired by the blogheader.

For this challenge I'm thrilled to be joined by the lovely Michele from I card Everyone.

My Photo

I'm a huge fan of Michele's fabulous cards and knew I wanted her to be the elf for this challenge as I thought she'd have a ball with the theme... turns out I was totally right!

Our Challenge for this fortnight is:
Scandinavian Holiday

Anyone need smelling salts? I know I swooooooned when I first saw these.
You can also see a further card, and read the details about all her creations by checking out Michele's blog post here.

My cards

I barely need an excuse to go for a red and white colour combo on a Christmas card.

It turns out that these gorgeous little images look good in multi-colours too!

If you like these cute images from Hero Arts you'll be sad to hear that the set is long since discontinued. However, Rudolph has contacts and is giving away a Scandinavian Holiday set as his Randon Raffle Prize for this challenge! Go Rudolph, what a guy!

Please come and join Michele and I to play in our Scandinavian Holiday Challenge.
