Christmas Kickstart Challenge #7 - Delectable Die-cuts

Hi card fans, welcome to another new challenge at The Christmas Kickstart.

I'd just like to thank everyone who play along with follows this blog: I'm overwhelmed by the response to this little challenge. The cards for our Mooves on Hooves Challenge was brilliant and myself, Brenda and Gail were delighted with how many of you linked-up and joined the fun!

Challenge #7 should be another fun challenge as it's

Delectable Die-cuts!

Who doesn't love a die-cut? They always give such a professional finish to any card and there are sooooo many to choose from!
Our Guest Elf for this challenge is the very lovely  Sally S. from Created by Sally.

Sally will be familiar to many of you who are regular players here at The Christmas Kickstart as she was the winner of our very first challenge with this adorable card. Sally is a former Hero Arts Hostess and a longtime blogging buddy of mine.

Here's a little info about our newest elf:
"Hi, I'm Sally and I live in Dorset near the beautiful coastal town of Lime Regis with my husband, we retired here 3 years ago, my two grown up children Francesca and Tristan have long since flown the nest. I have been crafting most of my life and enjoy sewing, lino cutting and photography. A friend introduced me to cardmaking over 12 years ago and I have never looked back, its such a relaxing hobby. The crafting community is such a friendly place and I love visiting peoples blogs, studying their Instagram pages and entering challenges."

As you can see Sally has a beautiful style and has created a gorgeous card for this challenge making use of a variety of snowflake die-cut shapes. Thanks Sally, this is so pretty.

My card is one I'm quite pleased with as it was quick and simple to make and looks rather cute!

There's another Rudolph's Random Raffle for this challenge and the prize is this sweet Christmas die-cut set from Fuzzy Lemon:

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #6 - Moves on Hooves!

Wow, guys, what an amazing response to Challenge #5 - judging those gorgeous bear cards is going to be tough!

It's time for another Christmas Kickstart Challenge and for this challenge our theme is:

Moves on Hooves!

That's right, any animal that has hooves can appear on your card. I'm obviously thinking stags, fawns, reindeer (again!), but also alpacas, llamas, horses, cows, sheep, goats...

For this challenge we have not one but two fabulous Guest Elves.

First off, let's welcome Brenda, winner of Rudolph's Random Raffle from Challenge #3.

Brenda is married with two grown children and four grandchildren. She loves to sew, quilt, scrapbook, and stamp and is looking forward to retirement in a few years to have more time to do all of those things!
Christmas is Brenda's favorite time of year and she loves decorating, buying gifts, baking cookies and making Christmas cards.  Brenda says "I try to work on Christmas cards all year round, so they are all ready to mail by early December."

Our second guest is Gail, and you'll find her blog Crafty Nomad here

"Hi, my name is Gail aka ionabunny.  I am British and trained as a scientist, but moved to Norway in 2005 where I keep rabbits and chickens and grow my own vegetables. I also craft with paper and glass.  I call my style simple, but seldom clean.  I enjoy mixed media and mixed techniques and trying anything new.  I am honored to be a guest elf here at CKC.  Just call me Twinkletoes Bunnyslippers."

Now that we've met our elves let's take a look at their cards:

Brenda's card is a beautifully traditional take on the theme:

Gail's card features a cute Rudolph in an equally cute sweater!

My offering for this challenge was great fun to make: I do love a nice, fluffy Christmas Llama, don't you!

For this challenge I'm delighted that we have a sponsor (kindly arranged by Gail) and an adorable hoofed animal stamp as a prize. A big thank you to Rubber Dance Art Stamps for this prize which will be drawn by a Rudolph's Random Raffle.

I really hope that you'll join Brenda, Gail and myself for this fun challenge and grow that Christmas card stash!
