Challenge #64 - Show us your Snowfolk

It's July (not sure how that's happened) and I'm delighted to be joined by Helen B of Helen's Craft Haven for a fun, new challenge.

"Hello, I’m Helen of Helen’s Craft Haven. I’m a musician and music teacher based in West London, teaching flute, clarinet, saxophone, recorder and music theory to pupils of all ages, as well as arranging music for, and directing a couple of school Wind Bands and an ensemble of enthusiastic adult musicians. I’m mostly a weekend crafter, and it was making my own Christmas cards nearly twenty years ago that first got me into stamping - they are still my favourite type of card to make, so I was thrilled when Jo asked me to be a Guest Elf for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge!"

It's great to have you here, Helen, and thanks so much for providing such a gorgeous inspiration card for our new theme which is:

Challenge #64 - Show us your Snowfolk!

Here's what Helen made...

Isn't this just great? The positioning of those snow dudes is just perfect and I love their different and beautifully coloured scarves and hats. You can find out all the details of how she made this lovely card over on Helen's blog, here

I made this for the challenge...

And you can find out what I used by clicking here.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #63 - Reminder

They say 'better late than never'! yes, I'm finally here with the reminder post for the current challenge at Christmas Kickstart!

It was my birthday on Thursday and hubby surprised me with a few days at a lovely hotel in the country. I thought my posts were set to auto-post, but it turns out I was totally wrong!

Our theme for this month is

Challenge #63 - Pawfectly Pawsome Christmas

Thankfully, my brilliant elf, Diane, was on the ball and posted this gorgeous card on her blog to keep things rolling. Thankyou, Di, I'm so sorry to have totally messed up.

Here's what I made. I was inspired by the way Di used DP on her first card for our challenge and so used the same technique on mine.

Rudolph's Random Raffle has a lovely prize on offer in the form of this gorgeous stamp set from Creative Expressions. The images are quite large and even nicer than they look in this picture.

Di and I both very much hope you'll come and play along with our fun challenge! You have until June 30th to create your Pawesome cards.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #63 - Pawfectly Pawsome Christmas

I'm delighted to welcome back the lovely Di as our elf for this month! We had such a blast together when we played Christmas Snippets in November that I just had to invite Di back to inspire us all once again! Thanks so much, Di, it's great to have you here again.

Our theme for this month is
Challenge #63 - Pawfectly Pawsome Christmas

We'd love to see anything with PAWS on your Christmas cards, please. Dogs, cats, mice, foxes, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, bears and even weasels: are all welcome!

Here's what Di made for our challenge - isn't that little pooch adorable?

To find out how Di made her sweet card, please head here to her blog.

And here's my offering - unsurprisingly, I went the feline route for my card!

The details can be found on my blog.

Rudolph has been busying hunting for a prize for his Random Raffle... and has done us proud with this gorgeous stamp set from Creative Expressions. The images are quite large and even nicer than they look in this picture.

Di and I both very much hope you'll come and play along with our fun, new challenge!

Let's Trim the Tree for Challenge #62

It's Tree Trimming time for Challenge #62, and I must begin by thanking Arlene for being such a star in her role as elf as we played Mini Slimline. This was a lovely challenge, and a new format for me and I really appreciated all the help, support and encouragement which Arlene provided. Thank you so much, Arlene.

While we didn't break any records in numbers of cards entered for this challenge the standard was very high and the cards in the gallery were gorgeous. Thank you to everyone who played along.

Our Top Picks are as follows
A magical little scene.

Such an elegant card.

#18 - Michelle B
Beautiful colouring and such a fun image.

Our Winner for this challenge

We couldn't resist this little pup in his blue plaid sock - just perfect in mini-slimline.

Congratulations to you all, please grab your blog badges - we hope you enjoy them.

Finally, Rudolf is here to announce that
is the winner of his random raffle prize for this challenge!

Congratulations to you, Arlene, please email me at dottypudding (at) aol.com with your snail mail address so I can connect you with your prize!

Once again, many thanks to elf Arlene and to everyone who played along.

A new challenge opens tomorrow and an elf makes a return visit... I wonder who it will be?
Guesses in the comments please...

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #62 Reminder - Mini-Slimline

Hi there, I'm so happy to be back with this reminder post for Challenge #62 as I get the pleasure of sharing yet more cards by our lovely elf, Arlene!

Here's what she made...

Arlene proves that slimline works equally well in both landscape and portrait formats!

You can find all the details on Arlene's blog by clicking here.

Along with the die cuts that Arlene sent she was also kind enough to include some stamped images. I couldn't resist colouring this gorgeous Santa! Isn't he a beaut?

Slimline and CAS just seem made for one another, and I'm very pleased with how this card has turned out.

Rudolph has another lovely a prize on offer for his Random Raffle

This sweet sentiment set by Kaisercraft should fit the slimline format really nicely.

As always, please read the Challenge Guidelines before signing-up to play.
